Our MMA
Our mixed martial arts program combines the best elements of multiple disciplines, creating a powerful and versatile fighting style that prepares students for every range of combat. At the core of our MMA style are the following:
American Freestyle Karate – Known for its focus on fast, powerful strikes and precise footwork, American Freestyle Karate provides a solid foundation for stand-up offense and defense. With point sparring as a training tool, students learn essential skills in distance control, footwork, and quick reaction timing.
American Kickboxing – This style emphasizes aggressive, high-speed combinations of punches and kicks. Through mitt work and heavy bag training, students develop powerful strikes, improve hand-eye coordination, and refine the skills necessary for effective stand-up fighting.
Judo/Jujutsu – With an emphasis on balance, leverage, and using an opponent’s force to your advantage, Judo contributes critical skills in throws, joint locks, and pins. These techniques enhance takedown ability, ground control, and submission tactics, creating well-rounded fighters.
Wrestling – Known for its rigorous focus on takedown defense and ground control, wrestling adds explosive power through conditioning drills and mat work. These skills are crucial for establishing fight control and maintaining dominant positions in close-quarters combat.
Muay Thai – Known as the “Art of the Eight Limbs,” Muay Thai trains fighters to strike with elbows, fists, knees, and shins, adding variety and effectiveness in close-range encounters. Its clinch techniques and quick, powerful strikes make it an essential part of our striking strategy.
Our MMA program integrates these styles into a comprehensive system, blending the versatile striking of American Freestyle Karate, American Kickboxing, and Muay Thai with the ground control and submission techniques of Judo, Jujutsu, and Wrestling. This approach builds a well-rounded skill set, enabling our students to adapt, outmaneuver, and overcome any opponent. Students develop not only a solid defense but also a formidable offense, capable of adjusting to the demands of any fight.
